SEWAHSP Industry workshop, 10th January 2013, Cardiff

A key part of SEWAHSP’s strategy is “to develop effective and enduring relationships with a range of stakeholder groups and organisations to achieve the mission. Those forged with industry will be key, as the commercial sector can make an important contribution to progress the translational research agenda and be of benefit to both health and wealth creation in the South East and beyond.

The objectives of the workshop were to:

  • Establish industry’s needs and view of the South East as a region that can “deliver”.
  • Review the processes of organisations that have a reputation for succeeding in delivering industry related studies.
  • Review the actions in SEWAHSP’s strategy and how best they can be taken forward within the context of NISCHR AHSC’s strategy and work plan.
  • Establish the key components of an operational plan for SEWAHSP’s industry related strategy.
  • Identify priorities and timescales for taking the work forward.
  • Ensure coordination with proposed and established working groups of SEWAHSP.
